I had the hardware removed from my left elbow on Friday. It was supposed to be an out patient procedure, but I ended up having to stay the night for pain control and antibiotics. Chris stayed with me while Colin stayed with his Grammy and Papa. I'm feeling ok today. It hurts pretty bad but it's not nearly as bad as the original surgery last year. I'm taking pain medicine regularly. Chris had to go back to work today, which I didn't take very well. I just wish he could stay home with me a little longer, but his work needed him back. Chris's mom came over before he left for work and took Colin to her house to play for a while. She brought him back at bedtime and put him to bed for me. It breaks my heart that I can't care for him right now. I feel so helpless. I really don't like depending on other people to do things for me. This is a hard thing for me to adjust to. Colin seems to know that something is wrong. He is very easy with me. I just pray that the pain continues to ease off and that my arm heals well.
