I went to the surgeon this morning. They took off the splint and ace wrap and took out the stitches. It was a little painful, but not as bad as I had expected. He told me that the hardware definitely needed to come out and that once I recover from this surgery my pain should be a lot less. I have to start doing physical therapy again. 3 times a week for now. I've had so much PT over the past year, I should be able to do it myself. I start tomorrow and I am not looking forward to it. I can't bend my arm past 90 degrees. I can straighten it a little. I guess we will see if they can get me some more mobility. I can go back to work next week on light duty...no lifting at all. He said I am very susceptible to fractures right now and it could take anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months for my bones to fully heal.
Colin is doing well. He goes for his 1 year check up on Thursday. He gets shots so we aren't looking forward to that. He has a new word. When he sees our cat Sobe walk by he follows him saying kitty kitty...well he actually says "Ki Ki", but its so cute. He was eating supper tonight in his highchair and the dogs were outside barking. He pointed out the window to them and said "ki ki". I tried explaining to him that they were puppies not kitties, but I don't think a 12 month old understands. He is learning something new everyday. He continues to amaze me.
