Las Vegas

Chris and I left for Las Vegas the day after Halloween. We took Colin to his Nana and Papa's after going trick or treating Friday night. We got up around 4 am Saturday morning and was in the air flying most of the morning. Once we got there we had to go to the car rental place where we stood in line for 2 hours to find out they rented out the 12 passenger van Chris' mom had already reserved. We waited once again and finally left with 2 vehicles. By the time we made it to the hotel it was almost 4pm (7pm est). We were exhausted. We got a bite to eat then Chris and I went walking down Las Vegas Blvd. We stopped at the Belagio and got to see the fountain show which was amazing. The wind was blowing and we got a little wet but it was fun to watch.

We took a few pics on the way back to the hotel. The whole city was lit up...it was amazing!!

We went to bed pretty early...10pm (1am est). We woke up around 430am (730 est). We got to see the sunrise. It came up behind our hotel but was shining on the mountains in the distance. It was beautiful.

Chris and I got ready and hit the slot machines by 8am...lol. We got some breakfast and met up with the rest of the crew (Chris' mom, dad, sister and fiance, grandparents and aunt). We spent the day at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Chris, Jaime, Amanda and Adam got to do the Richard Petty Driving Experience. They each got to drive a race car 8 laps around the track at 130 plus mph. This took up most of the day but they had so much fun.

After we got back and got a bite to eat, we all went down to Freemont St (the "old" Las Vegas).

The next day (Monday) we all went to the Hoover Dam.

Chris and I drove back before everyone else and gambled a little. We had to catch our flight at 1150pm (250am est) so before the flight we all went back to Freemont St and Chris won us some money at Binions Casino. We flew ALL night and my parents and Colin picked us up from the airport. I missed that little boy so much. He didn't want much to do with either one of us at first. After about 5 mins, he got over being mad at us for leaving him and wouldn't let me put him down. He learned to say please (ezzzzz) and thank you (tay (pause) you). It's the cutest thing.
We had a great trip, busy and short, but great.
