16 Months

I took Colin for his 15 month check up yesterday. It was originally scheduled in December but they had to reschedule for January. He weighs 23lbs 4oz, 23rd percentile. 32 1/4 in tall, 75th percentile. I was really surprised at his weight. I was sure he weighed more than that. He is so heavy now. He had to get some shots and screamed horribly. Chris had to carry him out to the car screaming. He has done pretty well though. He hasn't spiked a fever at all, but he was a little cranky today and kept grabbing his thighs. I'm sure it hurts. I've been keeping tylenol in him pretty much around the clock. Hopefully tomorrow it won't hurt as bad.

He has really started talking a lot this past month. These are a lot of the new words he can say now...Every time the phone rings or someone knocks on the door, he goes running saying whozat (who's that?)

When he gets sleepy, he goes and finds his pappy (paci) and his ju (juice) and says nigh nigh (night night)

I was feeding him in the kitchen the other day and he was pointing to all the pictures on the refrigerator. I started naming everyone and when I got to my niece he said Ninna (Brenna)

He has a favorite song that he sings. It's "right Na Na Na" by Akon. I'll sing the beginning of the phrase "I wanna make up right..." and he says "Na Na Na". He walks around the house singing and dancing to it all the time...it's adorable.

When I ask him to do something, like throw something in the trash, he says "o-kee" (okay)

He was at Chris' moms last week and she was giving him kisses and Papa Jaime taught him to put his hand up in the air and say "top" (stop)

I have been trying to teach him the dogs names, but I think we have too many for him to keep up with...lol. When we ask him "where is Harlie?" he looks straight at her. When we ask "where is Jack?" he runs to him saying "Ja Ja" (Jack Jack). He also looks at Morgan and says "Ja Ja" so we still have a little work to do. I have also been trying to teach him what sounds animals make and he can say "woof woof" for a doggie and "meow" for a kitty.

He loves phones. If he finds one (or a remote) he puts it to his ear and says "hello"

Chris has a tendency to tune people out at times and somehow Colin has picked up on that so when Colin wants to get his daddy's attention he YELLS "DA DA", like Chris is in trouble. Once Chris acknowledges him, he just says "hey" and smiles. It's the cutest thing.

These are only some of the things he says now. I just thought I would highlight some of them.
